Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 1982, Walter Aronovitch has practiced primarily in the area of insurance defence litigation. He has acted on behalf of a multitude of insurers in cases involving automobile accidents, motor vehicle liability, accident benefits, homeowner, sexual abuse, assault, occupiers' liability, product liability and other types of tort claims.

Walter has presented numerous seminars on a wide variety of insurance issues for insurance clients, and also at the Insurance Institute of Ontario, the OIAA and Osgoode Hall, among others.

He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Toronto Lawyers' Association, Defence Research Institute, the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario, and the Mediation and Arbitration Institute of Canada. He is also the past editor of the OIC Subject Matter Index.

He has appeared at all levels of Court, FSCO, WSIB and has appeared numerous times in his capacity as counsel for various insurers at private mediations.
